Aerification is scheduled for October 20th (Tuesday) this year. It is a short term disturbance, but with long term benefits. Preventative maintenance is key to keeping Indian Boundary Golf Course healthy in the long run. The goal to aerification is to improve the soil mixture around the green's roots, and prevent accumulation of excess thatch. Healthy roots require oxygen, and after aerification, tiny pockets of air trapped between soil and sand assist the roots in getting oxygen. Over time golfer traffic will compact the greens, and crush the air pockets making it difficult for the roots to get oxygen. So bear with us as we go through this important process. Thank you again for your understanding. We will still be open during this process, so please take caution of our employees working on the course during this time.
